As the digital landscape continues to evolve it is more important than ever to hone in on the current atmosphere and media landscape. In addition to understanding how laws and regulations and ethics apply to your current work, take note of what is happening around you. 

• What are you seeing or hearing about and how would you act or think differently? 
• If a news outlet or organization publishes something, instead of seeing it passively think about the implications, how the audience will react, and what you would have done if tasked with the same project.
